In 1963, after having finished my electronic education, I started at Philips ELA with testing the first regular TV production camera, the LDK 3. After this start in the broadcast arena I worked in research on B format tape machines.

Growing older means loosing touch with the newest technology but getting more experienced in work flows and applications. Moved from research Eindhoven to the Philips Project Centre in Breda.

Designed TV studio's, OB Vans, traffic control conference, parliamentary and all kind of  AV systems. In most of the applications special cameras or modifications to cameras are needed.

One of those “Special “ Projects was the Viper. Within the Viper team I worked on connectivity and application of this digital film camera and entered the digital cinematography world.

In 2006, as a Senior Product Manager, I ended my career within the  Thomson/Grassvalley organisation  and started a Consultancy.

Na mijn HBO studie ben ik in 1963 gaan werken, bij de hoofd industrie groep ELA van Philips, in Eindhoven Hier begon ik als meet assistent aan de voorloper van de LDK 3. Daarna in de ontwikkeling kort gewerkt aan de B formaat recorder van Philips, latere BCN van Bosch.

Als project ontwikkelaar gewerkt aan de eerste OB Van voor Globo TV en samen met het Nat-Lab aan HD MAC, daarna verhuist naar Breda en diverse projecten op het gebied van Studio TV, traffic control etc. wereldwijd gerealiseerd.

Van Philips naar BTS verhuist en daar de functie van Product Manager bekleed. Producten waren oa  de eerste CamCorder de LDK 391,bases stations, LDK 23 en allerlei speciale producten.

Als lid van het Viper design team meegewerkt aan de applicatie rond deze camera. In 2006 geëindigd als Senior product manager bij Thomson met als laatste product de DigiLink, mixed operation en Viewfinders.
